Frequently Asked Questions

Why do we need to recycle?

Large organisations are under unprecedented scrutiny as to whether they address environmental issues. As IT technology continues to develop at a faster pace, it leaves these organisations with large amounts of redundant IT equipment for which they have no further use. The commercial costs of disposing of this equipment is great and has none of the benefits of recycling them and extending their life span by putting these systems back into use. This will allow groups who previously had no access to modern information resources to make full use of the opportunities of the information age.

What can be recycled?

Really any redundant electrical equipment, from PCs, monitors, printers, cables, telephone systems, calculators, fax machines, batteries, base units, CD & DVD ROMs, docking stations, keyboards, laptops, mice, modems, mother boards, photocopiers, processors, routers, scanners, servers, tape drives, telephone handsets, PBX, televisions, etc etc. If you are unsure please do call us on 0161 273 4369 or please ask us a question through our contact page.

Where does our refurbished equipment go?

Once your redundant equipment is refurbished and refitted it is sold at a
subsidised cost to UK organisations and to organisations in third world countries.

How safe is your destruction of hard drives and memory parts?

Our destruction of these parts is total. Hard drives and solid memory parts are crushed and granulated, tapes are unwound and shredded along with any CDs or DVDs you may wish to be destroyed. Our disposal and destruction conforms to the MOD destruction standards.

When do we get our destruction certificate?

You will receive your destruction certificates within two weeks of collecting your redundant equipment.

How do we start?

You can either make a list of all the redundant IT equipment you have, or we can undertake an asset inventory for you, just call us and we can arrange a convenient time to collect, undertake an inventory and discuss your recycling options.
